The invisible Layers

There are parts of my Larp Costumes  that people never see, armour and overcoat cover it all. The grimy shirt has one purpose only: To protect my undershirts from the scalemaille mesh. The black dirt is from the armor, and I do not bother with cleaning it off every time, since it gets like this…

Armour Surcoat – Almost Done

The Armour surcoat I made for this summer’s Epic Empires quickly became one of my favourite pieces of Costume. I have not managed to take good pictures of the finished surcoat, so here are some WIP photographs. The surcoat still lacks clasps here, and the sides are not yet closed. But all the embroidery, the…

Introducing Solufleece

For Years I did not use embroidery fleece or stich&tear, I either painted my designs directly onto the fabric or improvised using chinese paper. But ever since I discovered Solufleece, I have not done a single embroidery wihtout. I was always afraid to damage my embroidery while removing the backing, but Soluvlies will dissolve on…

Embroidery for Ambra

I am still working on the Mage cap. Its going to be a long-term project. One thing I made is this embroidery for the back of the cap. I am going to add some beads to it after attaching it to the cap.

Mage cap WIP

The first part of the embroidery for the mage cap is done, now I just have to sew it to the felt cap and make more embroidery. I love embroidering on organza, a technique used by Michelle Carragher to embellish the game of thrones costumes.

Coastal cliff shooting

Every time I go hiking I end up thinking: You could do a great costume shooting, with all those beautiful mountains. So this time we packed a dress, stopped on a moor that’s right on a seaside cliff. It was Cyranil’s first time as a photographer, and we underestimated a lot of thing. Like the…

Embroidery (usually hidden by hair)

Usually the Embroidery on the back of this robe is hidden by my hair. Not sure what drove me to put my character’s crest there. Thank you to Liz-Sai/Mioon for taking the Photo.

Elven Hood

This woolen hood for my elven Larp charakter has already proven its worth more than once. But I have not managed to take decent photos of it up until now. The Rain started just before it got too dark too shoot, we really got lucky. Thanks to Liz-Sai/Mioon for taking the Photos

Collar Embroidery

I finished the embroidery work on the collar. Below is the design I used. Only a pair of sleeves to do.
