Those to live for
I wrote this story last autum, it may be the longest thing I have ever written. Its a strange feeling, reading it again months later and NOT wanting to toss it away.
Parvena Demir has been a Soldier all her live when war reaches her home.
One by one, nations have fallen to the empire’s greed for land and power. Only the tactical genius of Yeul Sarvirakan has a chance of stopping them now, but that is all the klans need to resist.
But Yeul is cracking beneath the surface, and few can see the truth.

With Mass Effect Andromeda coming out this month, I think back to the triology ands its charakters. I’m going to miss Shepard and her crew.
Elrian met some Fairies and she remembers their faces- in her diary.
Masquerada: Songs and Shadows released two weeks ago, and it’s an amazing storytelling experience! The game is not flawless, but I enjoyed it from the first to the last moment, especially the detailed world building and the diverse cast with their convincing voice-acting. And it inspired me to paint. It also makes me want to cosplay, which puts one more costume on my want-to-make list.
The painting is in gouache on Chinese paper, which is quite different from my usual watercolour workflow.
I am in a painting mood, experimenting with new techniques. Aiming for a style similiar to John Bauer’s works, this was the first time I did the watercolour part first and added the lineart afterwards.
I made these watercolour illustrations for two of my short stories, Asche and Feuer. It was the first time I used a brush instead of a pen to do the lineart, to create a rough, more alive look. It was so much fun.
